We have a lot to look forward to this year as we continue to build the state's only property management firm to hold both state and national designations. Last year, we made investments in our staff members and in our proposal efforts.
At the end of last year, we welcomed the La Mirada Landmark Adult Community Association, a 55 and over active adult community, to the Cardinal family. We're busy learning about each other and expanding our staff to serve the unique needs of an active adult community.
Last year, like every year, we continued to invest in our employees as well as in our business. We were proud to congratulate several staff members who earned prestigious industry designations. Christine Santisteban earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) from CAI and administered by NBC-CAM and both Kristi Boren and Karen Holthe earned the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation from CAI. Working hard and earning these designations not only elevates the knowledge of our individual team members and therefore our offerings to our customers but also raises the bar for our entire industry while it challenges others to add this knowledge to their skill sets. We also closed out 2012 with the appointment of Karen Holthe our Senior Account Manager to Director of Property Management and the appointment of JoAnn Von Dollen, our Collections and Finance Manager to Director of Operations. Please join us in congratulating each of these staff members on their wonderful accomplishments.
We also reinvigorated our interactive website to include spotlights on our vendors, articles about our industry, and more e-services for our clients. Check out our website at www.cardinal-online.com. "Like" us on Facebook and become one of our fans so we can stay in touch with each other. In addition, keep an eye out for our Tweets!
For the year ahead, our attention will be unswervingly on our customers-as always. When our founder and owner Susan Naples established Cardinal more than 30 years ago, it was on the premise that customer service would always be our priority. Period. That objective is not just a philosophy, it continues to be our number one operating principle.
Here's to a happy and healthy year!
